I did once back when I was like 12 but it was something cheap and just ended up paying it back later when I just paid more then what I needed to for something and told the cashier to keep the change

Nope, never stole anything if I can recall.

I just always think to myself, “What if someone stole from me?”
I’d be ****ed! I’d feel extremely guilty and afraid of the consequences.
What goes around, comes around.

I’ve stolen things occasionally. I operate under the principle that if the business still makes a profit off me, then its okay to steal (to be safe i steal only maybe 15% of what I buy from a given place).

i think the point is that you’re enjoying the fruits of a person’s labor without compensating them for it. I generally don’t care about pirating music but if it’s on a band’s own label (AKA they get a much bigger cut of the profits than they do on the normal record labels) I always buy it. It’s their freakin’ livelihood.

People who think piracy is no big deal need only look at the sorry state of PC gaming.

Sure, I’ve downloaded some songs, but I’ve bought like 95% of my music collection. I also occasionally steal small things from people I know, like if I ask to borrow a pencil, I won’t give it back because chances are, I’d still need the next time I want to write something down. It all balances out I guess, because I let people borrow my $1 bills and quarters all the time for vending machines and the like, knowing I’m probably not going to get that money back. I’ve never shoplifted and I wouldn’t ever want to.

Yeah, let me just say I’ve done my fair share of illegal downloading. Feel a bit guilty whenever I do it lol. If Netflix’s instant play had a good selection I would almost never pirate.

Eh, movie studios are making enough on theater ticket sales for me to feel sorry for them. Take a movie like Avatar. It made over 2.4 billion dollars in profit. DVD sales constitute only a small percentage of the money being made. If a movie losses money, it’s no ones fault but the studios for producing a film no one wanted to watch.
