<p>Oh, dang I’ve stolen a ton of songs and movies. (*tear) Why is torrenting more acceptable…? It’s so weird. Probably because we don’t have any direct contact with the artist/company/producer. Also you’ll never get prosecuted unless you’re a major pirating distributor. On the other hand, if you steal from a store you get the feeling that the owner/employees are watching you… And you can get caught. (that’s what I think anyway)</p>

<p>Never physically stole anything.
I found a white iPhone 4 on the ground when I was playing at a tennis tournament 4 days ago. No one saw it on the ground!!! Unlocked the screen, saw the owner’s face as the wallpaper, found the person and gave it back to her.</p>

<p>Stealing implies the loss of something from the owner, in which they can’t use it again.
When torrenting your copying, therefore a loss isn’t experienced by the owner.</p>
