More importantly, the difference between a non-existent adjective and a noun.

I'm thinking about applying without financial aid to schools that are not need blind.. Would that help me a lot? I still can't decide if it's worth it to pay that much for college. My parents are paying full tuition+everything else for my sister but she's at a Canadian university which is a lot cheaper. If it will really help me with higher chances at top universities, I am willing to apply without FA.. what do you think?

It'll help in the sense that your financial need won't count against you; it's not going to significantly boost your app, as you're still competing with hundreds if not thousands of internationals for relatively few seats. Be aware though that at many universities, if you do not apply for FA during your first year, you will be ineligible in future years.

getting fin. aid is ridiculously hard for internationals since it is not need blind as well as the sheer number of international applicant needing fin. aid. So yeah if you don't have the cash, best of luck because it's going to be rough ride. Sadly, a lot of the times int. students with not as strong application get accepted because of they do not require fin. aid.

Why sadly? If your parents do not do well enough then you have to make it up, you know it.
