No, I haven't actually met anyone off of CC, but I do have responses to the whole internet dating issue.

For one, I don't think you should lie about how you met, I guess just because I'm not cool with lying about anything even if it makes my life easier. Secondly, I've known a few people who have had very successful relationships that started online, but I think it depends on the circumstances of meeting through that venue. In general, the people who met on the online dating sites actually didn't do so well. However, when they met via some medium that represented some common interest (online roleplaying, gaming, Harry Potter, etc.) the relationships tended to have as good a chance at working out as relationships formed offline.

In my case, I met my boyfriend online through a common interest, and we just happened to really hit it off to the point where we couldn't ignore our feelings for one another, and now we've been together for three and a half years, so I would consider that a success. Another couple I know who met through the same place are now married, though I do have a friend who met his girlfriend there, and once they moved in together they crashed and burned because she was a selfish brat.

Sorry, I can't help but throw my two cents in when it comes to discussions of online dating, because of my personal investment with the topic.
