CommonApp.org shows that I have submitted the common app + the writing supplement on 11/6. However even though it shows a green tick there and I sent my sat scores like 2 weeks ago, I still haven't gotten an email from Cornell about my applicant ID. My friend applied to Duke early and received an e-mail about his application processing less than 24 hours later.

So have you guys received an email? Is this normal?

If one doesn’t get his or her Applicant ID in time to verify that his or her other supporting documents have been received by the deadline, what happens?

For example if one where to send FA info on the deadline but somehow it got lost?

I chatted with the support desk yesterday. Apparently their system was overloaded but I just got my applicant ID now with everything checked.

If you have your proofs ( Common app receipt, writing supplement receipt, css profile receipt), I don’t think you will be penalized; but you should inform them …

I submitted mine on october 30 and recieved the email on nov 1. It is likely that it will take more time since their systems are overloaded with applications, but give it at least a week.
