<p>OK, I got the mail from UChicago today.
I got waitlisted......
but I got in to Northwestern! :) Quite a surprise.</p>
<p>which is more prestigious? or tougher?</p>
<p>Northwestern or Chicago?</p>
<p>Apples and oranges. NW is more of a preprofessional institution, and Chicago is much more liberal arts focused. However, both are very rigorous and prestigious. The first distinction should be more important.</p>
<p>Who cares? It doesn't matter, you go to whichever is better for you, They're both friggin awesome schools...</p>

<p>according to the people ive talked to, chicago is considered to be tougher because you really have to work hard to get a's and b's</p>

<p>Chicago doesn't have engineering (unless i'm insane), and please don't post US news crap on the UChicago board. Most people applying here HONESTLY don't care too much.

<p>Any ranking that puts UPenn above Stanford is on crack. I'm proud to say uchicago applicants could care less about that piece of garbage.</p>
