I have been actively working on my summer work since the week of final exams - and I'm still not even close to being done. I know lots of kids who have the same assignments as me and have yet to begun (...they're honestly screwed).

What about you? Have you started? Or are you dabbling in procrastination?

I'm usually fond of procrastinating, however, I cannot physically procrastinate on these assignments this summer, as they are way, WAY too big to even BS in two weeks or less.

Yep, I’m in a similar situation. The only thing I’ve completely finished is AP Bio, and that’s only b/c I did the assignment last summer… I had a mountain of APUSH notes to do, been working on it for the past 1.5 months, and still only 2/3 of the way through. We don’t have any big projects for any classes, but the rest is just a lot of work and not something I can put off any longer. I really wish I hadn’t taken on so much this summer (HW for 5 APs, P/SAT prep, AMC/AIME prep, USABO prep, research, volunteering, college course, trying to read more). I feel like I didn’t even get a chance to enjoy my vacation, and now there are less than 3 weeks left :(

Whoa…it seems that different curriculums are every where. I took AP Bio and I don’t have any summer work for that…but I do for ap lit. I’m close to finishing it so…I feel thankful I don’t have as much as you guys. And I was complaining a bunch. Good luck you guys!!

I would, but I have a very convenient way to make sure I do my work. I volunteer for the afternoon ‘shift’ at my library doing customer service, and since during the summer that’s usually really slow I just bring my homework and do it there. I’ve done all of my APUSH homework that way, and covered a lot of ground with my quizbowl prep as well.

I have summer work for AP Literature, AP Economics, and AP Biology. I haven’t even started. There are two reasons for this. One: I procrastinate. Two: I’m taking two summer courses and it’s not easy to keep up with the homework.

Just one AP Macro book left but other than that nothing. I really feel bad for those of you with AP Bio summer assignments, you don’t need them for the exam.

I’m almost done with my English assignment but I still have to finish some questions and a chart. I started my AP Euro assignment but I only did the map, I still have to read and answer questions.

And I was lazy and didn’t finish my summer assignment before I went on vacation so I can’t finish it until I get back home which won’t be until the 6th of August. School starts on the 14th. :(

My summer work: Ap Bio, Ap Lit, Precalc test out exam study, and ACT September exam study. I am having a hard time getting everything done due to busy week schedule. I am about 3/4 done with Bio and 1/4 done with lit. I’m half way done studing for precalc (teacher notes are terrible) and ACT will take until test date. Hopefully ill be done with bio and lit before August 10. That wwill give me 10 days to focus on my precalc exam and a month to hit the ACT books hard. Good luck to all.

My summer assignments are both optional so I’m having a hard time motivating myself to finish them. I did about half my calculus packet in a week in June, and I read the book for the bio assignment but haven’t written the corresponding essay.

I have calculated that I have about 2 hours worth of summer work with 5AP’s(which I will procrastinate till the day before school). Last year I took 8 APs and had no summer work. I guess the teachers at my school don’t like assigning summer work.

My teacher gives no summer work for APUSH. Unnecessary if you ask me (I made a 5 this year). I do for Honors English - but that’s more of a summer reading assignment (read two novels + notecard assignment). I had none for AP Lang either last year (maybe because it was online). I’m gonna do a little independent review for AP Gov, AP Calc, and AP Psyc soon, though (all online/self study because my school only has 1 AP).

I haven’t started and I’m taking 7 AP classes; I have to annotate three books and finish a math packet, and write a 4 page report for two classes…
