Alkalinium: The Essays are looked at by ALL UC’s. If they were simply disregarded there would be no purpose for having students write them.

Different UC’s use them for different purposes. Like UCLA takes that very much into consideration for admissions and scholarships purposes, while UCSB might only use it for borderline applicants and scholarship/financial aid purposes.

I submitted it at around 4:00 am today, lol.

I checked the website today and it’s already taking longer to load because so many people are turning in their applications today. It’ll only get worse as time passes. Turn those applications in ASAP!

Haha, I get some kind of sick pleasure out of procrastinating until the last minute. I’m finally almost done though! Hoping to submit at like 3AM tomorrow morning.

@Clayton
The website wasnt slow for me 2 days before deadline
Question: So we cant edit our application anymore even if the deadline is in 2 days? Like fix our essays or anything?

And do we really have to submit our SAT/ACT scores?

I’m a natural-born procrastinator, but I had to control my urge to push it off until today or tomorrow, lol.

The website will probably not be too busy at 3 am tomorrow morning, so you should be good. God help you if you try to submit at like 11:00 in 11/29, though.

@Alkalinium

That’s good! And no, it appears you can’t edit it(For now. In January, you will to report fall grade and winter/spring coursework) after you submit your application.

If you intend to transfer as a junior, you don’t need your SAT/ACT scores.
