Any advice? How did you like it and what's a good way to succeed with an A?

Do you mean as a major or take a course? I took film 25A – wouldn’t call it an easy A at all, but not difficult either. You have to have an interest in the subject; it’s not just watching films and critiquing them. But very, very interesting, at least to me.

I mean as courses. What makes it difficult? I had a class in English where we did exactly that, watch movies and critique. lol but what’s different about this class? If I enjoy cinematic related topics, will it be doable for me? I don’t want to take something that’ll bring down my gpa for the first semester at berkeley but I also can’t really switch my schedule around unless I dont want to fulfill that breadth requirement.

Do you have to read or take scantron tests or is it all writing?

You’ll find that in college, professors tend to stay away from scantron tests and move into the “essay” type of tests.

Yessss I love those. : ] I do horrible on scantrons but I’m really good at essays. At the college near us, they use scantrons sometimes and that lowered my grade in 2 classes : /
