Havent been contacted for Interview

I applied (30th) and I havent been contacted for an interview. I am just wondering if anyone knows the time line for being contacted for an interview. When is the latest you can be contacted? or should I already have been contacted? I'm just wondering becasue other schools have aleady set up interviews with me and since H is my numero uno, I'm getting worried. Any info would be much appreciated. (btw I live in Vancouver, BC so its not like I'm in a rural area where there wouldnt be an interviewer.)

What if you received a letter with the name of the interviewer about two weeks ago, but the interviewer has not contacted you yet?
Also, when sending updates to the admission office or any other information do you recommend regular mail, or certified mail?

Certified.. may as well

People still will be getting contacted about interviews as late as March. The timing depends on how many alum interviewers there are in your area, and how crammed their schedules are.

thanks Northstarmom.

I heard from someone who knew of someone who does alumni interviews that not everyone goes before the adnissions committee, and that regional determinations as to who will be discussed at committee are made by mid February and so one should try to have their interview before then. Is this correct?

Still no interview - should I be getting worried?

I submitted all my application materials on December 30th and I got my interview-scheduling phone call on January 20th. So not to worry. The interviewer will call you eventually.

hopefully i will have an email or phone message when i get home. lol thanks lousantace

I called Admissions this afternoon because everyone I know in Toronto who applied has had their interview already - and I was told that if I still don't get an interview by Feb.14, then I should call Admissions again on the 15th and they'll put me with someone...

But since the regional admission round is done in Feb, does it hurt your chance not to have an interview before then? (I know it's been said many times that an interview won't really make or break an acceptance, but I still think it's a considerable factor, don't you think?)

I just got contacted today...don't worry about it

"But since the regional admission round is done in Feb"

What do you mean?

In my area, we're still scheduling interviews. As I mentioned, we'll probably still be scheduling interviews in late Feb. and early March due to the low numbers of interviewers that we have.

It's great if the interviews can be done before the regional admissions round, but often that's not possible and the admissions officers make allowances for that. It doesn't hurt the students.

I'm sure there are a lot of interviewers in our area (greater Boston) but my son hasn't been contacted yet either.

Greater Boston, however, has lots of applicants, too, probably more applicants than are in any other area of the country. It's also a heckuva lot of work to coordinate the interviews for all of those applicants. That takes time, too, for the alum who heads the local Schools Committee.

Fair enough, NSM, I was just trying to say that the set of regions where not everyone's been contacted yet is even bigger than the number of areas where there are few interviewers.

What is the regional admissions round?
