Haven't heard anything.......

Is it bad that I did not hear anything yet? I applied Feb 1., and I have been checking online everyday since then. Am I going to be rejected? Does it mean that they just didn't get to my app? Do I still have a chance?

I am sorry for all these questions but, Umich is my #1 and I really want to get in...

I am sure that a huge school like Michigan is incredibly busy with the 60,000k applications that they receive. And they are still sending out decisions.

but why would you apply Feb.1 to your #1 school?

I was really busy applying to others schools and doing a lot of school work.

Exams didn’t help either.

So you applied to your #1 school last? :)

Sadly yeah.

My daughter is still waiting like many of you. It is very frustrating since she does not want to make a decision until she hears from all her schools. The admission office states the same thing over and over “every applicant will hear by mid-April”. Most schools have a May 1st deadline to commit. Two weeks is hardly enough time to make such a big decision.

Almost every other school has notified her with her acceptance including scholarship and financial aid offers. At this point I suspect she will be waitlisted or rejected by UMich. Does she really have to wait another three weeks to hear that? Michigan could do a much better job at processing applications and giving answers.

@MidwestParentof4, I agree. All of the other schools I applied to said they would notify applicants by April 1st at the latest. I think the fact that Michigan releases decisions so late is really frustrating because that does only leave a small amount of time to decide where I want to go to school by May 1st. It’s a really hard decision to make and I don’t like the fact that I have to do it so quickly. :/

I’ve pretty much lost all hope from reading that, haha.
