I submitted my application on time. I havent heard back from Carleton about my application status. Should I be worried?

have you been to this website? it asks you for a pin, but i got mine way back in my sophomore year from PSAT mail, so i made my account a long time ago.

but i haven't received any mail from carleton since i applied, either. but now that they are finished with the ED stuff we should be hearing something soon i bet.

I received a letter from Carleton about my application status yesterday. I'm in California. So, you'll probably get your letter soon.

Still nothing!!!

I never got a letter (maybe soon) but I received an email with my username and pin for their website on Feb 11th (I submitted my application on the deadline too).

You should probably call them just to make sure- it could be that the email got stuck in a spam filter though.

definitely call, they all should have been mailed by Feb. 15th. it shouldn't take a letter 2 weeks to get anywhere inside the U.S. a week at the most...

did you fill out the preliminary application on carleton's site before you submitted the application?

^ I did I think but I dont really remember.

I am an International Student. I sent an email to the Admissions Office today.

That's it--send them an email and they will forward you your PIN and username. If I'm not much mistaken, you will receive a response from Ms. Mary Steil, the assistant to Mr. Cogan who's in charge of International Admission. I sent an email to the admissions office and got my PIN and username, but sadly the PIN does not match my name...lol...they just then told me my application had been complete, but had no intention to solve the PIN problem for me...

You will be able to check if your application is complete through the online account, but I don't think they'll post your admission decision there.I've heard that Carleton will send admission decisions to international students via email as well starting this year, since international mail is really slow.

Good luck to everybody!

btw, ajayc, where are you from? I am also an international applicant and I'm from China.

[edit] they should have already mailed out the PIN and username, but since one of the assistants at the admissions office(a student) procrastinated a bit with those mailings, they went out a little bit later than in past years. so, be patient~~:)

NOT a single reply from Carleton!

Budweiser: I am from India.

ajayc, you could look up Mary Steil's e-mail address on the Carleton web site. I'm sure that this is an extremely busy time for the admissions office. Good luck!

I sent a mail to Mary Steil. No reply. I think they hate me.

ajayc, hang in there and try (I know it's hard!) to have a little patience. This is a crazy time for any admissions office.

Hey Ajay,
As Budweiser said...try to contact Mr Cogan or Mary Steil. And expect to wait for atleast a week to hear from them. I had a similar wait before I heard their response. Also check the Spam regularly.
And relax...I am sure your application must be in order.
By the way, to which other colleges have you applied to ?

I received a reply. She can't give me my PIN but my application is complete.

neo: Whitman, Occidental, Brown, MIT, UR

Hi everyone.

I'm also applying to Carleton and I'm trying to figure out how to check my application status. I have an account username and password on the Carleton website, but I don't see any place where I can check status. Is it possible to check status on their website? If so, how?

I don't think they've mailed me anything either (except the mid-year report form to fill out).

Go to that link and put in your username and password to check your application status.

I could be crazy, but I've done that before, and I simply don't see where the application status check thing is. It's just the "Clearly Carleton" webpage which has stories about what Carleton students and profs are doing. Could you describe, maybe, where on the page the application status check is/what it looks like/what it says? Thanks!

fibonacci, if you click that link and put in your name and password, it should take you right to your application status. here is what mine says:

Hmm. That definitely doesn't show up for me. Perhaps my account isn't linked with my application. Did you use your Carleton account as you were applying?

i applied through the common app, but i did the pre-application thing through carleton.edu. also, i made some type of account way back when i first got PSAT mail from them.

so, if you click that link, do you have a name and password?
