Okay, I applied to the VCU art school earlier this year right on the deadline and I was feeling pretty cobfident. But now, I've been looking around and I realize my art is absolutely NO where close to the average applicant. My art is pitiful when I compare to other portfolios. My portfolio has some really good pieces, and some really crap pieces. I had thought that my 4.5 gpa, tons of ap classes, and high sats would make a difference, but after looking over the admissions site, i don't tjink so. They specifically commented that low gpa is not always a true indicator of student success. I'm doomed! But I don't know what to do! I can't even sleep and when I do, i have nightmares! VCU's art school was my dream college and I'm sure that I don't stand a chance. Any advice? U

Don’t stress. If its meant to be it will happen. Don’t obsess and compare your artwork to other applicants. Your GPA does play a role in your acceptance they want hard working dedicated students. And they aren’t looking for people with perfect artwork either they want to be able to teach and if they think you have something special and they can help turn that into something extra special they will accept you. Sometimes it just takes a while for them to get back with you. I didn’t hear from my dream college until last night!

Their notification date is by April 1, so I wouldn’t panic yet.
