Hi! My name is Kate, and I live in PA. I was just accepted at Haverford. I loved to meet other future classmates.

Katebrook13, I'm assuming you applied ED...and you got your letter...already? I figured that they wouldn't mail them out until next week...I applied ED also and am waiting...anxiously.

Wow, Kate how exciting; congratualtions!! Haverford is a wonderful and unique school.

My D also applied ED. We are in California. Did your letter come regular mail today? Was it postmarked? Was it a fat / big envelope?

This info might help us figure out when letter is coming our way-- and also may help me figure out what letter says if my D isn't home when it gets here.....

It was postmarked December 9th. I live only twenty minutes away from campus so it only took a day to come. Included were two pieces of paper and a small honor code booklet. I was scared when I first saw it because it looked rather thin.

My friend got an acceptance email, but she lives overseas so maybe it's different for them.

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in MD and the letter came in today's mail. Katebrook13, congratulations to the both of us -- we're going to have such an incredible four years! My name is Jennifer, by the way. Looking forward to hearing from the rest of the Fordians...

High Five!!

Waiting for our afternoon mail. Should be here in 2 hours. If not today, then Monday.... stress!

I'm looking at Haverford, but I'm concerned about my chances. Could you guys post your stats please?
Thanks so much!

Hey, where in PA are you from? I'm a freshman at Haverford from the area. Class of 2008.

Best of luck to all of you who applied ED to Haverford!

My D was not admitted... :(

Congratulations all, it is a wonderful school!

SBmom,
I've been watching for your post all day. I am SO sorry to hear the news. :( At this time last yr, D also heard the same from Yale. Your D has many great options...and will find happiness as well. Best to you.

Thanks for your kind post Archermom!

She's already bouncing back, because at her #2 school coach is really recruiting her hard (probably anticipating that ED might not work out...) So I bet it will turn out well in the end for my D too. I will still keep Haverford in mind for my younger sons, it is a rare and wonderful school.

hi everyone. my name is numa and i am from NY. i just got accepted to Haverford...got the letter on saturday. i am so happy!!! anyway, congratulations to kate and jennifer. looking forward to meeting you guys next fall :) hopefully we will get to know each other and other 'fords even before we get there!

Sympathies, SBmom.

Congratulations to everyone who got in...Haverford seems to be a really neat school.

SBmom, Sorry to hear the news but it looks like next year at this time you should be one of the parents awarding a 10 for your daughter's happiness at her #2 school.

TheDad, seraching: Thanks for your kind words. We really knew it was a longshot but it still feels good to get a little sympathy!

I, too, was a kid who was waitlisted at #1, so I went to my #2 school and of course LOVED it (20 out of 10!) and could not imagine not having gone there. I know all will be well once she gets to college and gets into the swing of everything.

My sympathies also, SBmom. But I believe everything happens for a reason, so I'm sure your D will be happy wherever she decides to go. Nrahman, congratulations! It's good to hear from another fellow 'Ford of the class of 2009! I look forward to meeting you too.

Could those of you who have heard from Haverford post your stats and admission decision so that those of us who are applying RD have some idea about our chances? Thanks and congrats to those accepted!!
