Haverford College Early Decision, WILL I GET IN???!?!?

Okay, here is the deal.

GPA : 3.0

ACT: 31 (without calculator, retaking soon)

Class Rank: top 20%

Essay: Teacher told me my supplement was the best she has ever written.

Applying Early Decision

Volunteered at Blind Camp, Worked at Tennis camp where i was a tutor and coach for underprivileged inner city kids

Interview: I had an amazing Interview, we had similar music taste, we were recommending each other bands and books by the end. We still email every once in a while

Grades: I had undiagnosed ADD freshman year (i heard an addendum would help) and my grades plummeted, since then i have taken the hardest and most difficult schedule possible. AP's: Bio, World, Chem, Eng Lang, Physics, Calc, EnviSci, US, Psych.

VP of Government Club at School

Key Club Member

Legacy: Great-Grandfather (also has Honorary Doctorate) Great Uncle, Grandfather, Uncle, and 2 Cousins.

Grandmother is Professor at Bryn Mawr

Great-Grandfather and Great Uncle both were on the Board of the school

I am also Quaker, and my Great-Grandfather also was a founder of the Friends Association for Higher Education, and Haverford being Quaker was very connected to this, He spoke at the 25th anniversary of the FEHA, which was at Haverford.

What are my chances of getting in, and would writing an addendum help explain my low GPA that doesnt correlate with the rest of my Application. My GPA is the only thing holding me back, i will hopefully be above there ACT range once i retake the test with a calculator.

My Guidance counselor, friends and family are all reassuring that i will certainty be accepted

WHAT DO YOU THINK.

Wow, I didn’t know Haverford gave out doctorates.

I think your GPA is a bit low, but being a Quaker and a legacy and applying ED give you a very good chance of getting in.

Yah, he has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from Wilmington College and Haverford College

Pretty neat guy.

Anyone else have an opinion?
