I love Haverford College. Unequivocally, of all the colleges I have visited, it is my favorite. I'm stuck on whether or not to apply early decision. On one hand, I don't want to be bound into a situation that I may later regret. On the other, I would hate to wait until regular decision, get rejected, and then always wonder if I could have gotten in with that E.D. advantage.
It would help if I knew what kind of student gets in with regular decision.... I know the test scores, but what about extra curriculars, or just general characteristics?

If regret being bound to the school, don’t apply ED.
If regret after not getting in RD, then apply ED.

That simple

If you love it and it is your first chice, then you should apply ED.

If you have doubts about where you want to go, then wait for RD pool.

Personally, I applied ED to my first choice, got in, and never looked back. Happy as a clam…
