I'm having an off-campus interview on October 25th...can anyone tell me if the Haverford interviews are informative or evaluative? I can't really find that info on the website. Thanks!!!!!

Not sure what you mean by this ?

The ideal interview should be informative and evaluative for both the applicant and for the institution, no? Hopefully you'll learn about the school and whether you fit the place and the school will gain the same info as well.

I can't imagine that any college that requires an interview for applicants within 200 miles and spends the time, effort and $ to maintain such a program would not use the interview to assess applicants in some way. LACs because of the limited student population have to make sure that the kids they accept will fit and contribute to the campus... and not be "dead weight"... which is what the essay and interview are for. I don't know what emphasis HC places on the interview though.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of the info, but if you search the HC forum with "interview", this topic seems to have been discussed on 14 separate posts.
