I'm really torn, guys. I can't decide at ALL! My life is so hard...

So, what do you think????

Haverford or Haverford?

I NEED TO KNOW SOON.

Thanks.

Bye.

Bye.

definitely go to Haverford. Haverford is a really great school, but Haverford is terrible, unless you want to be a PolySci major. So go to Haverford, unless you want PolySci, then go to Haverford.

Didn’t you get a full ride to Haverford?

Yup, StevenSeagal! I’m not sure if I should turn down the full ride to Haverford in favor of Haverford (which has a great PolySci program compared to Haverford, elephant73). These decisions are so ridiculous!

My bias is always around value, go with Haverford.

Am I missing something? Go Haverford…

Well if you got a full ride, then choose Haverford. Haverford is totally overrated anyways.

why would you create a thread like this? There are people who have Haverford as their dream school and have gotten rejected this past season, so why would you do this to them…

Don’t just automatically go with the full ride - can your parents afford Haverford without it, or will you be going into debt? If it is Haverford full ride vs. Haverford with 5k/year in debt it may be worth it to go to Haverford, which is a better fit. The connections you gain at Haverford may end up helping you pay back that debt right out of college.

Here’s what it really comes down to: will you be happier during those four years at Haverford (your dream school!), or happier after graduating from Haverford with no financial burden?

Forget Haverford. It’s way over-rated, and the weather there is terrible.

Go with Haverford instead. It’s perfect for you. It’s all about “fit.”

Don’t do either. Take a gap year.

To the OP, go with Haverford! You gotta think, do you think the extra money you will spend at Haverford be worth it? Would you be able to get that much better of a job at Haverford that will allow you to cover the extra costs in loans? Haverford and Haverford are just about on the same level as far as ratings go – Haverford might be slightly more prestigious, but the difference won’t really matter. Good luck next year whatever you decide! :)

To the noob: Are people supposed to feel bad and hide their triumphs forever because other people got rejected? It’s a tough life, and no one should feel inhibited because someone else didn’t get what they wanted. The OP worked hard, did their best and got into their favorite school. If other people are going to feel bad because some are celebrating their accomplishments, then they should probably stay off CC and the Internet in general until they get some professional help.

Can we please stay on topic. The O.P. needs our help.

It seems we all agree that Haverford is the best choice.

I don’t know - on one hand you get the great social life and alumni connections at Haverford. But then at Haverford, although many people don’t know about it, you will receive an excellent, top-notch education. I guess in the end you have to decide what is more important to you. Also, are you more of a humanities or sciences person? The biology department is outstanding at Haverford, while the facilities are somewhat lacking at Haverford. That may be a factor for you as well.

Either way, you will have a great time. Best of luck!

Personally, I would go with Haverford because of the amazing Poly Sci major as many have mentioned before me, even if it will put you a little bit in debt. Now… Haverford is great for grad school, so just go to Haverford for undergrad and Haverford for grad!

Go to Haverford. Almost anyone can get into Haverford, but only a select, intelligent few can get into Haverford. You need to take advantage of your opportunities. Haverford has excellent professors, etc. however at Haverford, most of the teaching is done by TA’s. It’s a nobrainer. Why would you even consider Haverford over Haverford?

Sorry I am not near college but is this a joke or am I missing something? Two Haverfords?

I’m not so sure the OP should write off Haverford so quickly. It’s got a lot to offer, including some things that Haverford just can’t provide.
