I was accepted to Haverford college, UCLA, and Vassar college. I'm having trouble deciding which college to choose. I'm majoring in Biology. I've always wanted to go to UCLA, and then I found out about liberal arts colleges. I know Poughkeepsie is fairly remote, whereas UCLA and Haverford are fairly close to two of the largest cities In the United States. I know the science program at Haverford is great, not too sure about Vassar. UCLA also has a great science department, but I'm not sure about undergrad. I'm aware that Haverford is really small as well. I'm doing overnight programs at Haverford and UCLA, but vassar and Haverford conflicted and I chose to see Haverford.. Someone please give me some feed back. Thanks !

UCLA - it has am more well-rounded student body, very loyal students and alumni, is in California with fantastic weather and campus. The biology department of UCLA is highly respected, too.

One of the kids we know at Haverford has taken many classes at Penn. I don’t know much about the cross-registration possibilities, but possibly you should look into whether that gives you more options for classes and meeting people. We know a surprising number of people at Haverford, and all have been very happy with it.

What are the costs?

UCLA is 3K a year
Vassar is 1K a year
Still waiting on Haverford

Curious - which did you choose?
