Haverford's Unusual Waitlist Procedure?

Hi--

I am trying to assess the waitlist policies. D was admitted to Haverford and is excited (and her parents are really excited). But she can't quite give up the ghost on some of her waitlist options (H, Y, etc.). Haverford says that you don't need to put down a deposit but they want you to keep in contact weekly with the admissions folks. Interesting way to do it. My question-- will Haverford let kids stay on more than one waitlist, or do they make kids choose only one "top choice"? If only one waitlist option is allowed, it may make the difference between Haverford and some of her other admits. Does anyone have any info?? Many thanks!

I’m sure if you call admissions they could help to answer your questions right away. My guess is that wanting to wait on making a commitment to Haverford is the same no matter how many other schools you are waiting for. Definitely give them a call!
