Having a hard time picking a dental school

Hi
I’ll give you my scenario. I’m an international 11th grade student, looking to go to a dental school (in Europe or America) and I’m having a hard time deciding. West and mid USA is out of the question (unless theres like a dream college) because it’s too far away from my family and they do not approve. I have some relatives in Boston so I was gonna go to Boston University but it was too expensive!

So I’m looking for a university in Europe or America that offers pre-dental or dental studies and is affordable (I’d say tops 40K, after scholarship if possible)

My stats are:

APs: Bio (will likely get 4/5) Chem (will likely get 4/5) and a third one I’m still deciding on
SATs: 2010 (690 M 620 CR 700 W)
GPA: 3.7
Trumpet player for 3 years
Bilingual in Arabic and English
Some other stuff i’m too lazy to list down

Most dental schools in the US are SUPER competitive. Focus on getting good grades in college, doing a lot of extra-curricular activities related to dentistry, and DO WELL ON THE DAT EXAM. If you get those three down, you may be able to choose between dental schools in the US. The average schools students apply to is 12 schools. Getting in is hard enough, let alone choosing which school you want to go to.

I would check out UNC Chapel Hill

In North Carolina

Chill out. You’re only in high school. For US dental schools, you have to go to college first, and then apply to dental school. Therefore, at this time, you should focus on getting into a four-year university that is reputable for providing great preparation for pre-health students. It doesn’t matter whether or not the university you attend has a dental school, as that makes little if any difference. Many dental schools don’t have preference for those who went to the same institution as an undergrad. When you apply to dental schools, they only care about your grades and extracurriculars from when you are in college and beyond. Nothing from high school and before matters.
