Having a Sister at an Ivy League School affect my chances for other schools?

<p>I have a sister at Dartmouth, I was wondering if this would hurt or help me if I included this on my CommonApp for other schools? Otherwise I'll just omit it.</p>

<p>Don’t mention it on any application other than Dartmouth; it won’t help.</p>

<p>If you are applying to Dartmouth I would include it on that one application but I don’t know why on earth any other college would care.</p>

<p>This is paranoia. It’s akin to saying your sister is left-handed. This is NOTHING to worry about – or frankly even worth mentioning to colleges.</p>

<p>There is a lot of talk whether “sibling legacies” help. I believe it helped me get into the Ivy I was targeting.</p>
