Having Anxiety About College

Hey so I go to a pretty intense school and people have basically decided I’m not getting into college because I have no desire to apply to Harvard. Initially I really wanted to be recruited for athletics and I am, but I am having second thoughts and really think I want to apply to schools on a purely academic basis and just leave myself the options to walk on to teams. I am having a really hard time reanalyzing my choices and some help would be great!
Schools I plan to apply to:
Georgetown (probably ED) (Double Legacy)
GW
Holy Cross (Recruited)
UPenn
Dartmouth
St.Andrews (Scotland)
University of Edinburgh (Scotland)
Villanova
Trinity (Recruited)
Bucknell (Recruited)
BC

I go to a competitive all girls school catholic school in Massachusetts, I am Roman Catholic and white.

May I suggest reposting here? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/athletic-recruits/

Lots of experienced parents who guided their kids through the recruitment process-- it’s a very helpful forum. I bet they can give you some good perspective and alternatives if you choose not to go the recruitment route. Congrats on your accomplishments to date. Good luck
