ok so i'll have 64 units completed when i apply to UCLA UCB. Is having only 64 units going to hurt me because when I see the UCLA transfer statistics, the avg. accepted units is 105 which translates to around 70 semester units? Should I take more? I dont want to take more than 64 because I'm applying elsewhere too!

can anyone help me?

No, it won’t hurt you.

I find it hard to have exactly 60 units, no more no less.

You are fine. I had 61 units at the end of my Spring semester before transferring in the Fall. You have to have at least 60 units before you are a Junior.

As long as you’re not under you are fine. 60+ whatever doesn’t matter at all.

The only way it will hurt you is if you didn’t finish your prereqs or if you got a couple bad grades, because your GPA will be more severely affected.

Don’t worry, it won’t. Believe me, I had 106 transferable units I believe. I’m going to attend UC Berkeley in the Fall. It also depends on what college you got into. I got into College of Letters & Science and they will only take 60 of those 106 I completed but I also need to submit a form to explain why I had so much units or something. Haha :). My friend had 80 units or so and they accepted all 80. I’m not sure what her major was or what college she’s in though :)

@nproudb Whoa that’s the first I’ve heard of that. I thought 70 was the max across the board for all of the majors.

Can you find out which college your friend was admitted to that has a 80 max?
