Having enough time to send in SAT/ACT scores

I'm applying ED to "College A". I will find out about College A on December 15th. I don't want to send in my ACT/SAT scores until December 15th because I don't want to spend all the money for those sent reports and then find out I got into College A ED and will be going there. Will I have enough time to send my ACT/SAT scores without rush reporting them to colleges if the deadline is January 1st through January 15th (dates vary depending on college)?

As long as you order them sent as soon as you learn of an adverse ED decision, you will be fine for almost all colleges since the test score can arrive after the application deadline. However, there are a small number of colleges that require the scores to be in their hands by the application deadline. For those you are probably also OK but there is some risk. Thus, check colleges’ sites for their rules. The ones that require scores in their hands by the application deadline say that on their sites.
