Having GC call the admissions office

Does this really make a big impact? I’ve seen it suggested on some of the threads … Do the admissions people take note of it or something, and would it be like a quick phone call or something lengthy and detailed about your high school career?

i dont know for certain, but i cant imagine why it would help. i mean, all that it shows is that your GC has enough time to call the school and talk to them. if i were an admissions counselor, id probably get annoyed. i mean they are going to get your application and have to read all of the same info again. i could be wrong, but logically it just doesnt seem like it would help

It doesn't help one bit. Unless there is something substantial worth mentioning (you have just evolved wings) you will be wasting the adcoms time. What needed to be expressed should have been expressed in the letters of recommendation. You should only call to ADD additional helpful information.

BC is non-expressed-interest school meaning it doesn't care how often you contact its office and it does not keep track of it. When you called you might not get the person who is reading your file (they're shutting themselves indoor 24/7 like hermits during this state) so you would most likely get a receptionist who could answer all your questions but would have no influence on how your life story might influence your admission at this point.
