Hi, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but I'm applying to colleges this fall, and I'm not sure how to approach this issue (if it can be approached at all).

Basically, at my school, when there have been two teachers who teach a subject, I have consistently, without exception, had the harder of the two. Because the easier teachers give out A's more often (due to things such as easier essay grading, different style of weighting grades, etc.), but it's within the same school, my transcript will read the exact same subject as someone else, with no indication of which teacher each person had.

My question is, is there a good way to mention this on a college application without sounding like some whiny senior who didn't get as many A's as they wanted? One thing I'd like to add is I'm glad I had about 75% of these "harder" teachers due to their passion for teaching or how I actually learned stuff from them - when I DID get A's from these teachers, they felt very deserved.

[For an example of this phenomenon, I have a friend who had the "easy" AP Lit teacher and got an A both semesters. I got B's. He scored a 2 on the AP test, I scored a 5.] That is, to say, my test scores definitely show through, but my GPA leaves something to be desired. And no, I'm not some slacker who doesn't do his homework or something - I honestly feel that I would have more A's had I had the supposedly easier teachers.

I apologize for the length of this post, but I'd appreciate input/thoughts.
