Having my guidance councellor submit SAT scores with my transcript?

I have been made aware that you can do this, but what if the school you wish to apply to does not allow score choice? Would my councellor have to add all of my scores?

you still have to send an official score report regardless of whether they are on your transcript. Schools will not accept scores reported on transcripts.

I have heard differently. If your school has a CEEB code it’s normally acceptable for your GC to upload the scores.

<a href=“Admission Process - Undergraduate Admission - University of Richmond”>Admission Process - Undergraduate Admission - University of Richmond;
“Standardized test scores should be reported directly from the testing agency.”
This is the case at any college

^ This.

@guineagirl96‌
Look, I can do the exact same thing!

http://www.macalester.edu/admissions/apply/tests/</a></p>

“Your test scores may be included on your school transcript. If so, there is no need to request them from the testing service.”

This is one example. Thank you to all, for being completely useless in answering my question. I listed a very specific circumstance, where a school allows scores to be put on transcripts, and does not allow score choice. I do not care what U Richmond does because I will not be applying there. Maybe you got confused and answered the wrong thread? I have now found the answer to this myself.

@Esat936‌ there’s no reason to be nasty, especially to someone who is trying to help you. The vast majority of schools will not accept scores from the transcript. (in fact i had never heard of a school before that does so). You did not include that link in your original question.

<a href=“Wy do colleges require official score reports? - Test Preparation - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/1665218-wy-do-colleges-require-official-score-reports.html</a>
perhaps this thread will give you some light on this issue

I wish more schools did that. At least until acceptance, maybe with an official score report after to confirm.

I don’t think either of my sons applied to a single college that accepted scores from their transcripts. That included some arts colleges that did not place much emphasis on test scores. They all required direct submission from the testing services.
