Okay, so this may seem incredibly stupid, however, I am trying to buy one of those MIT shirts that says MIT in math equations on the front for my friend. But I want the little discount thingy that I get, and I tried entering my number on-line where it says to, but it keeps on saying "integer required" and i don't know what that means. I tried putting the # symbol in front of my number, but that didn't work. :( Could anyone help me????

I know, I'm going to MIT and I'm computer illiterate.....

Oh, I know how to fix this one.

What they're asking for is actually your Coop number, which is separate from your MIT ID number.

Incidentally, Coop membership is a pretty useful thing -- it only costs $1 a year, and you're entitled to a discount when you purchase things at the store as well as a rebate of a certain percentage of your purchases. Last year I got a $20 check in the mail, which was nice. :)

okay, well I got this thing in my MIT acceptance packet that says shop online and enter coupon # XYZ. and recieve 10% off. So, I tried entering that number, and it didn't work. I still get that "integer required" thing.

An even dumber question: Is it pronounced "coop" (like a chicken coop) or "co-op" (like the beginning of cooperative)? I heard it pronounced both ways during CPW.

Oh, sorry aviatrix. Don't know how to help with that one.

It's pronounced in the "chicken coop" way, even though it is actually short for Harvard/MIT Cooperative Society. :)

Thanks anyways Mollie!!! I'll figure it out...or I'll just pay the extra 1.30. If anyone else knows, their help would be appreciated!
