Hi!
I’m currently a highschool senior and I’ve finished applying to all my colleges, but I’m having second thoughts about my decalred major: biology. I really loved biology when I was in AP Bio junior year, but now I’m taking IB Bio HL2 and I’ve honestly lost all interest in the subject. Is it normal for me as a high school student to be wanting to change my major already and is it even normal to change majors?
I’m also pretty interested in Comp Sci and Business as welll!
Of course it’s normal. Many students change their minds many times before entering college and even AFTER entering college. That’s why most colleges don’t require you to declare a major until your sophomore year (although in practice, especially for science majors, you usually do need to have a solid idea during your freshman year so you can take the class sequences you need).
Keep your eyes open and take note of what’s interesting to you, and keep a couple options on the table.
