Having too many study halls / "fake" classes

I’m panicking a bit to decide on my senior schedule. I have already decided to take:
AP Calc BC
AP Stat
AP Spanish
AP Physics II
English
Jazz Band

There’s no way I’m doing AP English, so I’m doing normal english instead. This current schedule takes up 6 periods out of 8. I assume that colleges will heavily dislike taking two study halls, so I need something else. I am easily in the top 5% of students, and I want to ensure that I can get into a competitive school.

At first, I considered doing AP Human Geography. However, this looks really boring and doesn’t interest me at all. Also, I don’t know if 5 APs is manageable.
Now I am considering being a lab assistant for a teacher during one of these extra periods, and then perhaps doing a capstone project (which gives credit but does not have its own period in school).
However, I’m still worried that this will be lacking. Is taking 4 APs senior year enough to justify this?
From the other 3 years, I have taken 6 APs (AP comp sci, AP chem, AP physics I, AP physics c: mechanics, AP bio, AP calc AB)

Edit: Is this the right forum to post this in? I apologize if it shouldn’t be under college admissions, but I thought it was kind of relevant.

I think your schedule is fine - If you want to add another class, add a “fun” class. You’re taking 4 APs, and as you said, 5 may be too many. See if there’s an elective you may be interested in. Maybe like forensics? Genetics? I’m not sure what you’re interested in, so I’m not much help there. The lab assistant thing will be fine as well I’m sure.

Alright, it’s looking like I will use this schedule with lab assistant (even though 3 of my periods aren’t real classes).
I just hope 10 APs total and my senior schedule appear rigorous enough to the top schools.

Yeah that should be fine. And the lab assistant position looks great. I took 5 APs this year( I’m a senior) and a College Prep class. So your schedule may be manageable if you stay on top of everything!

What about a history/economics/psychology class?
