Having Trouble Checking Status of App

I don’t think this was really covered, sorry if it was.

How long after it said your app was complete before you guys got decisions? all I’m seeing is time from sending in the stuff.

Thanks!

It took about 2 1/2 weeks. I think the time frame varies right now, due to the fact that the admissions counselors are on the road.

Son’s status changed to “Accepted”! Similar review turnaround as others - 4 to 5 weeks after submitting Personal Application. Applied Single Choice Early Action.

Tell son congrats! How does a former Tar Heel feel about having a Green Wave?

Thanks fallenchemist. We are very proud of him although we may try to slip in a visit to Chapel Hill before the process is over - looking forward to the additional details coming in the written acceptance package. We appreciate your informative comments in these threads - they were instrumental in triggering my son’s interest in Tulane. I highly recommend every prospective attendee visit the campus - our trip there last Spring was outstanding!

I GOT ACCEPTED!!! It only took like 1 1/2 weeks.

formertarheel - Tulane is a really nice campus, but I also have nothing but praise for Chapel Hill as well. Great school, lovely campus and charming town. The briefcase I still use today I bought like 15 years ago in Chapel Hill.

Also thank you for the very kind comments. Nice to know people find the information useful.

Marine4life - Congrats. Sounds like things are really picking up steam at admissions.

Son’s friend applied at the beginning of the school year (six weeks ago) and has not heard yet. I’m thinking that means deferral? Or maybe rejection?

RTR has he checked online? Last year D got her acceptance quite quickly online, but waited a few more weeks for her decision in the mail

Congrats everyone!!!

Sept…yes, he is checking on line…actually, I spoke to the mom today and the mom is checking on line! She said it’s been showing complete for weeks now.

The reason why everyone’s decision is coming in very varied times is because the admissions counselors are on the road (according to facebook).

can someone post accepted students stats to help 2011, 2012 etc prospects please? also, has anyone been accepted without stellar stats yet? (yes, marine4life, you fall into that category of stellar given your UW GPA)

ACT: 31
Unweighted GPA: 3.8
Rank: No rank reported
Extracirriculars: MCJROTC (highest rank and position), National Honors Society, Beta Club

Courseload wasn’t extremely difficult due to scheduling conflicts with JROTC. I only have two AP’s that aren’t until next semester. Hook would probably be my leadership experiance.

yipee!!! son accepted, website updated to congratulations!!! now he has to come up with something wonderful for the box project LOL
