Having Trouble choosing AP's for next year due to Situation ~PLEASE READ!~

So I'm Freshman (end of the school year), and I took AP Human Geography. Well my teacher grades very harshly, and about only 1 person per quarter gets an A in that class, and the rest are B's and bellow, and it's usually rounded for the one's with A's. So I have a B in there, but here's my situation first semester I wasn't really USED to the course load, and ended up with 2 B's and the rest A's in all honors classes and 1 B in AP Human Georgraphy, almost 2 B's, because I got an 89 2 times in a class, and an A on the exam. This semester b** I got really organized, worked hard and only ended with All A's in all honors classes and 1 B in just that AP class. So now I'm going through a difficult choice; I'm deciding whether or not I should take an AP World History next year, or instead take an Honors course, and fix my GPA and get a 4.0 next year, and fix my unweighted GPA. because I need to bring my GPA up because how those 3 B's effected it from*First Semester*. Taking AP World History will give me a 50% or more of getting an A in it, and if I get a B it will bring down my unweighted GPA, preAP is also offered, but I think that is just a waste of time. I'm planning on taking 3 AP's in 11th grade no matter what. Also, if I decide to take an Honors course, and later on in the future I apply to UPENN (11 people legacy), Northwestern, or Georgetown will they penalize me for not taking the AP Course?
Thank You in advance for your answers :)

Take honors. Sophomores shouldn't be taking AP courses. Neither should freshman. They're designed to be UPPER level courses to take AFTER you have taken your high school honors courses. The colleges understand this, the people who designed the AP program understand this, only the folks on cc don't seem to understand this.

Two B's as a freshman won't affect your chances at any of these colleges.

Oh yes.

Calm Down

Just take AP. High school APs really aren't that tough.

most colleges don't look at freshmen year.
calm down lol.

no one can penalize you for not taking AP courses.
I didn't take any AP classes freshmen or sophomore year.
i took 3 junior year
and i'll take 8 senior year, 6 in school 2 self study.

colleges tend to look at your senior year the most to see if you've slacked off from your rigorous junior year.

my GPA is 3.7 unweighted.

I'm talking about Sophmore year lol, and I am calm.

doesn't seem like it.
lol

what AP classes does your school offer?

i guess if you want to stress yourself with ap classes, go for it :D
but why world history?

AP World History, AP Art History, and AP Art Studio.

petition for more classes.
our school is going to offer AP Chemistry and AP Biology next year
yay :D

A school right near me offers those, really sucks, I'm awesome at Honors Biology (97% average each quarter) but back to the original question lol.....

Anyone else?
