Having Trouble Making a Decision

Hi there!
I'm having trouble making this decision. So far I haven't loved any of the schools I've gotten into. I think I'm just going to end up going to the one I dislike the least.
I applied as a Chemistry major and was accepted to University of San Francisco, University of Oregon, Northeastern University, University of Colorado - Boulder, and ASU (though I'm not really considering that last one too much). I was also waitlisted at Santa Clara.
For Northeastern I was admitted into the N.U.in program, meaning I would spend my first semester abroad (In either England, Australia, Greece, or Costa Rica [though England and Australia are currently full and Costa Rica doesn't offer courses in Chemistry]) and start school at Northeastern in the Spring.
As of now I've visited Northeastern, University of Oregon, and Santa Clara (though they were on break when I visited). Of the three I liked Northeastern the most, but really, that's not saying much since I really didn't like Oregon (some people love it, it just wasn't for me) and (probably because they were on break) Santa Clara just seemed dead when I visited.
I really don't know which to choose. They're all going to end up being around the same price (I'm from California) so that doesn't factor into it too much. I was hoping I would just visit a college and love it and my decision would be made instantly, but clearly, that didn't happen.

Any help would be very greatly appreciated!

Run the numbers to see which is going to cost you less. Here is a good calculator that lets you include some non-financial factors as well. Maybe it will help you get some clarity: [FinAid | Calculators | Advanced Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid)

One parent suggests flipping a coin. Not because it will decide for you, but simply because as you see the coin flipping in the air, you will find yourself hoping for one particular result or another.

Finally, if you really aren’t happy with any of these options, could you consider taking a gap year and reapplying elsewhere? What about starting out at the CCC nearest to where you live, and then transfering into the UC or CSU system later?

Wishing you all the best.

Boston is a great place to go to college if you like being in the city. Spending your first semester abroad is kind of a cool way to start college, although you will miss out on meeting people on campus that first semester.

Why would anyone not love Boulder, CO??? And if you applied to it from out of state, there must have been something about it that you expected to love.

There are superior UC schools and comparable Cal State U’s - why wasn’t the less costly option explored?

I applied to 7 UCs (all but UCLA and UC Merced) and wasn’t accepted into any of them. I applied to Cal Poly SLO and was also rejected from there.

I applied to Boulder because it’s a commonly used safety at my school.
