<p>I’m wondering if this is what is says when the data retrieval tool (DRT) simply isn’t available yet. In other words, your tax return was filed too recently for the DRT to be available.</p>
<p>What I’d suggest is that you set up an IRS [Get</a> Transcript](<a href=“http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript][b]Get”>Get Transcript | Internal Revenue Service) account. It takes a few minutes to set up, but once it’s done, you can find out immediately if your return has been processed and if a transcript is available. Once it tells you a transcript is available, then you can go back and try the DRT again.</p>
