Having trouble with transferring, please help ?

Okay so basically my situation is that most of the schools I applied to, instead of rejecting me, accepted me for a later semester instead which is great and all but I am technically supposed to be enrolling into school during Fall 2014 but these colleges accepted me for Spring 2015 (American University, Binghamton, Fall 2015 for Boston University). They basically stated that I would have guaranteed admission into the next semester as long as I studied at another post-secondary school for a semester and maintained a high GPA. This is all fine with me actually because it gives me a little more time to remain close to home and in the grand scheme of things it's only 6 months so I have have no issue with that.

I was thinking of going to CUNY Hunter for a semester but the only problem is that it doesn't have my major; International Relations. I figured because I was only going to be freshmen enrolled for a semester it wouldn't matter as much but now I am worried that it might.

Do you really take any courses related to your major during your freshmen year in college ? Am I going to be behind when I transfer schools ? What do I do ? I really need help ?!

Any of those schools you’re going to attend later have gen ed/distributional requirements, many more than you can take in 1 sem. Just take some classes at Hunter that line up with these requirements. Google the name of the school and gen ed or distributional requirements to see what types of courses you need, talk to your advisor at Hunter and call the schools if you have any questions about whether or not certain classes will fulfill their requirements.
