i too havent started the essays

anyone accepted that procrasinated on essays the last two weeks before the app is due?

My friend got in last year after deciding to apply December 15. He sent in part 1, wrote all his essays after seeing the questions for the first time, and got all the other stuff mailed in on time.

Mathson hasn't started. I don't think he will until he hears from MIT on Sat.

ahahaha another day wasted! maybe i shouldn't apply but i've already paid.

venkater: that can't be true...how about his recs and stuff?

well i just found out app deadline is next week...

maybe he's just trying to make us feel better. we need it!

I sent my Part 1 on Nov. 18...currently on the long essay of Part 2. School forms, test scores, recs and financial stuff is ready to be sent... ARGHH I have about 10 more essays for my other schools

louda..same here...i just assumed the rest of my apps would be due january 1st. i guess i'll be writing lotsa essays this weekend! ughhhhhh

My friend did get in after deciding to apply (maybe it was December 14 and he just had everyone mail generic recs and stuff like that). He found out he was deferred from MIT EA (a few days after everyone found out they were accepted) and 3 kids from my school got in SCEA, so he decided to apply along with another MIT reject from my school. My friend was accepted. He turned it down for a full ride to Mich, but was very tempted to pay much more to attend Stanford.
