hayden or goddard?

I'm trying to decide between the NYU Show exploration floor at hayden and the all the world's a stage stream at goddard.

I heard goddard is the hall with the most community feel and that's pretty important to me. But is it worth choosing bad rooms and the lack of a dining hall over hayden? Is hayden just as social or is it harder to meet lots of people because it tends to get cliquey??

Thanks in advance for the help!!

I lived in Goddard (though not in the ATWAS stream) and the rooms aren’t as bad as they make it out to seem. I was in a triple suite, which was 2 bedrooms, 1 single and 1 double. It was damn large and I was content with it.

Lack of a dining hall really makes no difference unless you’re THAT lazy. There’s 3 major dining halls within 5 minutes (Weinstein which in and of itself has 3 dining halls, Kimmel and Hayden).

Regardless, you better apply fast. The deadline is TODAY.

lol yea i know the deadline’s today, i’m always making last-minute decisions! thanks for your reply though!!

if you don’t mind me asking some more questions, what community service project(s) did you have to complete at goddard? and is being involved a lot more time consuming than being on an exploration floor?

there were a wide variety of options for community service. I did relay for life this past semester and also did the DKMS bone marrow drives a few times. A lot of people went on the NOLA trip which covers your spring community service requirement in full.

It is a bit more time consuming, but you got to manage your time well. You don’t have to be overly involved in the community; if you participate in events a little above the minimum you’ll be fine.

I stayed in a Goddard double for a summer and I really liked it. There isn’t much floorspace, but a lot of closet space and my room faced the park.

Hayden is seriously overrated. I don’t understand the hype!
