HC apps ended up at 7,300, a new record

HC apps ended up at 7,300, a new record

An increase of about 5.5 percent.

For an entering class size of around 750 students.

Wow. 1980CG, probably too early, but do you know if those choosing EA/ED have a better chance of being accepted? Do you know how many students are sent acceptances overall? Oh, and how many are accepted to Health Professions Advisory Program?
sorry for asking the same questions as so many others in the past…
thank you in advance 1980CG as always.

My understanding is that the overall acceptance rate is 1/3 of submitted applications
(7300) and it is much higher at nearly half for early acceptance. I think only around 100 are accepted to the Health Professions Program.

My daughter said it was about 100 also, but you don’t have to be admitted right away, although it guarantees classes. This was from a 2009 update on their site:

Students not yet in the Holy Cross Health Professions Program can still take required premedical courses. They should, for example, enroll in an English or a calculus course. During sophomore year, they should register for basic science courses required by medical schools.
At the end of each spring semester, students can apply to the College’s Health Professions Advisor for entry into the Health Professions Program. During the past five years, the Health Professions Advisor has admitted many students to the Health Professions Program. Students are selected for entry into the program based on their performance in relevant premedical courses. Interested students should contact, Professor Andrew Futterman, the College’s Health Professions Advisor, at ext. 2533
