When a Head Coach puts a letter in a candidates admission file stating how valuable he would be as team member, does this really increase the applicant chances before the Cadet Candidate Evaluation Board? I was just wondering if anybody has experienced this situation before. Thanks.

I would say yes. If the applicant is a good athlete and intends to play the particular sport at the Academy, the CGA coaching staff can put in a good word for the candidate. Often times this could be the difference in getting in or not. Sometimes if an athlete needs some help with their academics, they are offered a slot at NAPS.
