heading for disaster?

Would taking these courses in one semester, heads for disaster.Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, and organic chemistry and physics. I know it is all up to the person to put the time and effort into it. But what about realisticly.

Yes. Realistically, it equals suicide.

Chemistry and orgo chem? Don't even think that's possible. I'm taking ChemE, Acc Orgo Chem, Acc Orgo Chem Lab, Calc 3, Phys E&M. It's hard b/c those are all time-consuming courses and the worst part: it is almost impossible (unless you are a genius) to keep up perfectly in all areas. There is just too much, you're going to fall behind. Doesn't matter how hard you try. It'll happen. Time and effort my ass, you'll have no life and will always be playing catch-up. I hope to never have a semester like this again. So that's my, a guy who is actually doing this, input. Whether you choose to follow my advice wisely or keep your pride I don't know but I hope you don't waste your time like that.

Chem and bio alone along with Calc is a BIG time consumer. Add in Orgo and physics and kiss your grades good bye. There is no way in hell to maintain good grades in all of the classes especially if they are all lab classes. That would mean you probably couldnt even fit all of them into your schedule.

What is the suggested limit for taking premed classes a semester?

I think 2 science classes is enough. Biology is really time consuming, lots of readings and memorization and independent study. Physics I think is a lot less time consuming, but hard. Chemistry takes up a lot of time too. I heard organic chem takes up a lot of time. For the max, choose 2 sciences out of the 3. i'm taking chem physics calc and english right now, and it is keeping me busy and stressed out. Calc is hard and takes up time if you have never taken it. (i took it in hs and its helping me) I think 18 units is a good number to take per semester. Go over that and you'll kill yourself. And as the above posters said, please do not take all those premed classes in one semester. You'll kill yourself even if you're a genius. Its too much.

thanks for the advice

your welcome :)
