Maybe you can contact the Women in Engineering department and arrange to speak with them privately. I remember one of the neat things about that night (4 years ago) was the student panel. Several girls spoke about the WIE opportunities/experiences they had. While of course it didn’t have any personal impact (since it is my son that is the engineering student), I remember I was impressed by the positive experiences the girls related, and especially how they spoke of the value of the FLEXUS program.

PM me if you need help getting in touch with any engineering student groups on campus. With regard to female students, I know and work with the current leaders in WIE, SWE, AOE, and my favorite group WIAA (I’m biased), I should know, I convinced most of them to join Tau Beta Pi
