How is the Health and Societies major at Penn? It looks like a pretty intriguing thing to study, but I've heard some hearsay about it being a "cop-out major"? I would probably do a double H&S/Spanish major at Penn, but I don't want to come off as wanting an easy major in my application.
How does Penn's H&S major compare to, say, Cornell's Human Biology, Health, and Society major?
I applied to HBHS ED and got deferred, so I'm not overly hopeful for getting into Penn's H&S.
(Though the adcom at Cornell told me she wanted to "know more about how my extracurriculars tie deeply into the Human Ecology mission statement", and that's why I was deferred, not because of my numbers or whatever)
Still not too hopeful :/
