What is the best way to approach this? I'm interested in applying to physician assistant school and health care experience is required. Would it be best to ask a PA I know if I could shadow them? Or to volunteer in a hospital? Any information would be very helpful I am new to all of this, thank you all sooo much!

It's probably better if you shadow pa's because you'll be exposed to what they do. Volunteering at the hospital is good too if you can't shadow a PA. If you're volunteering at the hospital, try not to do clerical duties. Try to shadow doctors or something so you can see what really goes behind in treating patients. The PA schools simply want you expose to it so you know what your getting yourself into, and you can also have something to talk about when they interview you. I've been shadowing PA's at the hospital because they have a program here. It's been a really good and fun experience for me. Good luck.
