Because I still have health insurance through my parents, I won't need to purchase a health insurance plan through Columbia. But, if I have outside health insurance, do I still have access to Health Services? Can I still see the doctors at Columbia and get perscriptions through them? Thanks for any help in figuring this out!

Yes you can still go to Health Services and see the doctors at columbia/get perscriptions. I have health insurance through my parents and went to health services during orientation week and didn't have a problem seeing a doctor/getting a perscription. Rite Aid and Duane Reade are at most about 5 blocks down the street and can fill your perscriptions in about an hour or so

There are also many independent doctors in the neighborhood who cluster in and around St. Luke's Hospital, which is right across the street from Columbia.

even though u have health insurance from your parents you still have to pay the health services fee which covers your access to health services and cava :-)
