<p>Is it required in college?</p>
<p>I don’t believe it is required that you have health insurance (except some international students must). They recommend it, of course, and make available a health insurance pln you can buy. You have access to some health care through the University Health Service, which your student fees pay for regardless of your insurance status. But for emergency or acute care, you would need other coverage (or pay out-of-pocket).</p>
