Health Science BS HELP Northeast

I'm trying to find out which schools offer a health science major (BS) in New England and New York. I've been on the internet for a half-hour and can't get a simple list ... I keep getting on-line for-profit stuff. I need a four year college for my daughter, 3.2 GPA 600 CR 560 Math... top 3rd of class many EC's. I am open to any link, list, or suggestions. Thank you

Did you try using CC’s Supermatch? What specifically is your daughter interested in? Health Science is a rather broad field.

She is not sure. She will probably opt for a post grad program in physician asst. athletic training, or perhaps nursing. She is not ready to commit at this time, but a health science cirriculumn seems a good starting point.

Don’t know if this is exactly what she is looking for but worth some investigation.

[Health and Exercise Science - School of Education - Syracuse University](<a href=“Exercise Science - Falk College – Syracuse University”>Exercise Science - Falk College – Syracuse University)

Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Science in Boston might be a good place to look. She will need to bring up her GPA for a lot of the health science programs I think.
PA programs are really, really tough to get into post grad.

UNH has a [College of Health & Human Services](http://www.chhs.unh.edu/).

[University of New England](http://www.une.edu/academics/programs.cfm) in Biddeford, Maine, also offers a variety of health science majors.

Take a look at Ithaca [Academic Programs - School of Health Sciences and Human Performance - Ithaca College](<a href=“School of Health Sciences and Human Performance | Ithaca College”>School of Health Sciences and Human Performance | Ithaca College)

Also, if you can consider Pennsylvania, look at The University of Scranton [The University of Scranton: Academics: Undergraduate Programs](Undergraduate | PCPS | Academics)

Springfield College.

Look into Adelphi University on Long Island. Their biggest programs are in Nursing and Social Work and have many sub divisions of those categories. Her GPA and scores would fit in well there. Pretty campus. Commuters are big there but they do have several dorms and a couple of thousand who live on campus…^^I agree to look at Springfield College too, especially for some sort of athletic training program.

In the northeast (north of Mason-Dixon line), most BSN nursing programs are direct entry from college. South of the Mason-Dixon line, most programs have you apply competitively after a year or two of college.

If a student is undecided, I’d look for a college that offers a range of different health care majors and that is near one or more major medical centers. With the exception of nursing, I’d imagine there are some health care programs that would allow a student to shift from one to the other, after they complete common prerequisites.

Drexel U. is a university in Phila. that offers many health care majors.

Here’s a hospital based program in Lancaster PA. that offers a few different majors and that is not extremely expensive.
