Health Science major vs. Biology major

I’m trying to choose what I should major in at UF. Personally, I enjoy pre-med and health related classes based on a hospital setting rather than classes that deal with plants, cells, and genetics but I feel as if the biology major will be better for medical school. The thing is, I’m a little thrown off by the fact that health science is a bachelors of health science rather than a bachelors of science. Does anybody have any experience with either of these majors? Thanks!

Don’t feel you have to pick a final major now. Take a few classes, talk with some current students/professors, do some volunteer work at UF, join a few clubs and then make a choice in a year or two.

You’ll get some 'basic" advising during Preview, but once you’re on campus, you’ll be able to meet with the pre-med advisors and advisors in your college.
