Hey everyone

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on the Health Science Preprofessional major vs the Bio LS major on the premed track. I am planning on going to med school after undergrad, so is there any one that would offer any kind of advantage in terms of the types of classes you take? Which one is more interesting? Apparently there was a separate application for the Health Sciences program that you had to send in by February 1st?

Thanks for the help

Remember that you can do any major and still be eligible to go to medical school as long as you have taken the pre-reqs. I’m going as a Biology major in CLAS with the intention to go to medical school though. What’s LS exactly?

Same as CLAS (liberal arts and sciences), i was just using the abbreviation they used for the preview signup since i just finished up doing that. The courses listed to stay on track for the health science major admittedly don’t look as interesting to me, so i’ll probably stay on Bio CLAS too, i was just curious to see if there’s anyone who has done it.

I’d do biology. Health Science is geared towards pre-OT majors (even though there’s a good amount of pre-med, pre-PT, and pre-nursing in there) and you don’t get a bachelor in arts or a bachelor in science… you get a bachelor in health science.
