Do you guys find any time to exercise during a regular school week?
What do your school lunches normally consist of?
What do you have as a snack in school?
Do you walk home (and if so how long does it take you)?

Hi, there! School hasn’t begun QUITE yet for me, but I’ll give you a general idea about my fitness plan heading into this year!

Do you guys find any time to exercise during a regular school week?

I’m going to have XC country practice every day of the week, so it’s safe to say I’ll be getting enough excercise! However, last year I wasn’t involved in any sports. My fitness routine (if you can call it that :D) simply included a quick walk around the neighborhood as soon as I got home from school. If I felt REALLY motivated, or I just needed to get home faster to do homework, I sprinkled a bit of jogging in there as well. Although simple, I felt rejuvenated and ready to tackle an essay or math homework! When the cross country season has ended for this school year, I’ll probably do something similar, but with more running involved.

What do your school lunches normally consist of?

I never pack a lunch. Packing a lunch may be healthier, but I get reduced lunch at school, and I like to save money. My school has the usual: pizza, burritos, the occasional salad, Smuckers PB&Js, and a deli bar. I’m not too finnicky about lunch, so I usually eat whatever I feel like. I do, however, try to eat healthy for the most part. I’ll maybe have a deli sandwich, fruit, and a side salad for lunch 3 days a week, and for the remainder I’ll have peanut butter and jelly with fruit and salad, maybe even pizza, salad, and a fruit cup ! :D

What do you have as a snack in school?

I pack a granola bar or a bag of apples to eat between breaks/after school. This usually tides me over by the time I get home, and then I’ll have another similar snack to boost my energy for homework.

Do you walk home (and if so how long does it take you)?

School is a few miles away from my home, so I can’t afford to walk. However, I totally recommend walking or riding a bike if you can!

I hope I was able to help in some way! :)

Do you guys find any time to exercise during a regular school week?
No, sadly I don’t. The only exercise I usually get is when I volunteer at the golf course (I coach) and when I walk to the bus/ECs…

What do your school lunches normally consist of?
Fairly healthy, I pack mine. Usually some fruit and veggies, and a sandwich or some hummus and pita chips.

What do you have as a snack in school?
I rarely snack in school, though often I’ll have a cup of tea, sometimes something as well…

Do you walk home (and if so how long does it take you)?
No, I go to school downtown, so it is not an option. Though I walk to the bus stop which is a 5-10 minute walk and then to my ECs from the bus stop which is usually another 5-10 minutes.

Do you guys find any time to exercise during a regular school week?
-Meh… depends on how motivated I feel. I do soccer in the fall and spring though, so I usually get some exercise out of that Haha during the winter, I don’t exercise at all.
What do your school lunches normally consist of?
-Uhm, it kinda depends… Pasta, salad, burgers, and chicken wraps are usual suspects though Yeah, I’m kinda unhealthy…
What do you have as a snack in school?
-Sometimes a snack sized bag of chips, just because it’s really easy to just grab one in the morning. Other days, I get fruit
Do you walk home (and if so how long does it take you)?
-LOL NO. It takes me 30 min to drive to school. If I tried walking, I would probably die before I got there.

Do you find any time to exercise during a normal school week?

I have a volleyball practice and/ or a game almost every day after school. I also have a gym membership that I use when the season ends. So, yes! :D

What do your school lunches normally consist of?

I pack my lunch. I usually bring a sandwich of some sort, fruit, carrots (I love carrots), and sometimes a little cookie or something (can’t be TOO healthy).

What do you usually have as a snack at school?

I usually bring a cereal bar for a quick snack. If I have to pack a dinner (when I have an away game and won’t get home until 9:30ish) I will bring a variation of my lunch and another cereal bar.

Do you walk home (and if so how long does it take you)?

I walk home on days when I don’t have volleyball. It takes me about 20 minutes usually! Depends on how fast I want to get home.

Do you guys find any time to exercise during a regular school week?
I take a class that combines yoga with pilates, so that is my daily workout. On the weekends I also exercise and play tennis.

What do your school lunches normally consist of?
I have two lunches at school. I eat the school lunch, which is usually some fried food or pasta but I add salad from the salad bar. Then during math class I eat a sandwich from home that has a LOT of good leftovers, with cheese and meat and veggies.

What do you have as a snack in school?
I don’t really eat snacks

Do you walk home (and if so how long does it take you)?
No, I take the bus but I have to walk three blocks to get to the bus stop and I do this every morning and afternoon.

Towards the end of the year I chose exercise instead of homework. Ill try to balance it better this time.
2.i usually bring my own lunch

Our school gives us snacks after school if we’re involved in some activity. Usually i won’t get it.

It’s like 30something minutes through the desert. More than an hour if you take the road. I rarely walk home, but I always cut through the desert when I do

Not hardcore exercise, but I walk all the time. I have to walk to the bus stop (city bus) every day, and I always walk to the library and stuff. I also walk to Starbucks, but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of walking.

Next year I’ll probably go to Subway and/or Starbucks a lot of the time, but I’ll probably eat at home sometimes so I don’t go broke. (All my classes are dual enrollment next year, so I’ll have more lunch freedom than I used to.)

Nothing.

From the bus stop, yes, but it’s like a five-minute walk.

I try to make time…it’s a proven fact that if you exercise before studying for a big test you are more likely to retain information, so before studying I’ll turn on some music and dance like nobody’s watching (and hope that nobody is) :D

I bring my own lunch…usually just leftovers and some vegetables. Sometimes I’ll have chips and pudding, and sometimes leftovers consists of fatty foods…but as a general rule I eat pretty healthy.

I either eat a granola bar or an apple during the school day…however when I’m home I will probably eat something very unhealthy for a quick sugar boost. Like cake or chocolate chips or something. Unless I make a quesadilla…which isn’t particularly healthy either.

Nope!! I take the bus xD

Do you guys find any time to exercise during a regular school week?
YES. I exercise tons. It helps me with stress. I have dance and I run and do yoga.

What do your school lunches normally consist of?
Homemade awesomeness. Usually wraps or salads.

What do you have as a snack in school?
Granola bars and protein drinks

Do you walk home (and if so how long does it take you)?
No. Too far.

I don’t really find much time to exercise until spring when lacrosse rolls around…BUT I do have a gym membership and I go about once a week, on a day that I don’t have much homework. Also I take earlybird gym (starts at 6:40) which usually involves quite a lot of running outside and weight room/cardio activity so I think I’m good.

Ah, lunch. My favorite part of the day. I basically just have a sandwich every day (turkey, tuna, veggies, chicken salad, nutella) and my trusty old bottle of water and that seems to get me through the day just fine until I get home and heat up some leftovers. But sometimes if I bake anything the night before, I sneak some into my lunch!

I really don’t eat anything during the school day besides lunch, not even gum. I do go through about two full water bottles a day though. In spring before lacrosse practice I do have a snack after school, and sometimes I bring another sandwich with me if I have a game.

No, I don’t regularly walk home. Occasionally (usually during the summery months) I take the two and a half mile journey home with a friend, of course stopping at the local seven eleven for a slurpee and some swedish fish (I swear the fish are lucky. They’re all I ever eat during finals)
